When will CXC - CSEC introduce a SBA component for mathematics? CXC - CSEC will be implementing a SBA component for Mathematics beginning September 2016. With that in mind there are some changes to the examination itself as well as to the syllabus. You may download the new syllabus that becomes effective 2018 below. When do the new and revised CSEC and Cape syllabuses start teaching? CXC is pleased to provide the new and revised CSEC and CAPE syllabuses for which teaching starts in September 2015, as well as the revised English syllabus for which teaching starts in September 2016. Institutions offering these subjects should make note of the effective dates of the first examinations and be guided accordingly.
When will CXC 08/g/Syll 17 be revised? The Principles of Business Syllabus (CXC 08/G/SYLL 17) was revised in 2016 for first examination in 2019. Teaching is expected to commence on the revised syllabus in September 2017. Please check the website, www.cxc.org for updates on CXC®’s syllabuses. Principles of Business focuses on the theoretical and practical aspects of business activities.
